Terms of Use
Omegon is software developed and distributed by Black Meridian, LLC ("Black Meridian", "we", "us").
These terms govern your use of Omegon. By downloading, installing, or using Omegon, you agree to these terms.
1. License
Omegon is licensed under the Business Source License 1.1 (BSL 1.1). The full license text is in LICENSE.

"Production use" means using Omegon (or any derivative) to perform work that directly supports a live product, service, or commercial operation — including internal tooling where the output has commercial value.
Change to open source
On 2031-03-19, or four years after a specific version was first publicly distributed (whichever is earlier), that version automatically becomes available under the MIT License. Once released under MIT, it remains MIT — that change is irrevocable.

2. No Warranty
Omegon is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind — express, implied, or statutory. This includes (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that Omegon will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your requirements. You use it at your own risk.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Black Meridian, LLC and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Omegon — including, but not limited to, loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Omegon will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $0 if you have not paid anything).
4. Trademarks
These terms do not grant you any rights to use the Omegon name, logo, or any other trademark or logo of Black Meridian, LLC, except as expressly required to comply with the license (e.g., attribution notices).
5. Privacy
Omegon runs locally on your machine. We do not collect telemetry, usage data, or personal information. Credentials you configure (API keys, etc.) are stored locally using your operating system's keychain or a local secrets file and are never transmitted to us.
When Omegon makes API calls to inference providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.), those calls are subject to those providers' own privacy policies and terms.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Delaware for any dispute arising from these terms.
